120 SCHUMSCHUM MATERIAL 500T

SCHUMSCHUM MATERIAL 500T in 120 medium format carries the same cinematic DNA you know from our 35mm stock, now in a larger format with even more detail and smoother image quality. This cine material is designed for low-light conditions, maintaining the character, atmosphere, and color signature typical of SCHUMSCHUM.

With an ISO of 500, it’s perfect for night scenes, cityscapes, indoor shots, and artificial lighting. In 120 format, the image feels cleaner and more dimensional — shadows retain more detail, colors are stable, and the grain is finer compared to 35mm. The film has a wide exposure latitude, forgiving exposure mistakes and offering flexibility in scanning.

Made from 65mm cine film, it’s perforated with a remjet layer and designed for the ECN-2 process. After developing, it provides great flexibility when scanning.

If your camera doesn’t support ISO 500, we recommend setting it to ISO 400 for cleaner photos with better shadow detail and finer grain. ISO 800 can be used in low light, but the photos will have higher contrast, more noticeable grain, and less shadow detail.
