2. Products and Services
- SCHUMSCHUM specializes in selling 35mm films for cameras.
- All products are covered by a standard 24-month warranty against manufacturing defects.
3. Prices and Payment
- The only accepted payment method is by credit card.
- All prices are inclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes and fees.
4. Shipping and Delivery
- For EU countries, delivery is handled by Packeta. For other countries, delivery is managed by Slovenská pošta.
- Delivery times are up to 14 days for EU countries and up to 30 days for non-EU countries from the date of order.
- Shipping costs are calculated at checkout and vary depending on the destination.
5. Returns and Refunds
- Products must be unused and in their original packaging to be eligible for returns.
- The return period is consistent with the 24-month warranty period, provided the product meets the return conditions.
- The customer will bear the cost of returning the goods unless the return is due to a fault on our part.
6. Customer Obligations
- Customers must ensure the accuracy of the information provided during purchase.
- Products must be used according to the provided guidelines to avoid voiding the warranty.
7. Privacy Policy
- Customer data is shared with Meta, Google, and delivery companies (Packeta and Slovenská pošta) to facilitate order processing and delivery.
- SCHUMSCHUM complies with the GDPR, ensuring the protection and privacy of customer data. Customers have the right to access, rectify, and delete their personal data.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
- SCHUMSCHUM is not liable for any delays or damages caused by third-party delivery services.
- Any damage during transport must be reported immediately upon receipt of the goods.
- SCHUMSCHUM is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
- These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic.
- Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions will be resolved by the competent courts in Slovakia.
10. Right to Withdraw
- Customers have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods without providing any reason.
- To exercise this right, customers must inform SCHUMSCHUM of their decision to withdraw by a clear statement sent via email to order@schumschum.com.
- SCHUMSCHUM will reimburse all payments received from the customer, including the costs of delivery (except for additional costs arising if the customer chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by SCHUMSCHUM), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which SCHUMSCHUM is informed about the customer’s decision to withdraw from the contract.
- SCHUMSCHUM may withhold reimbursement until it has received the goods back or the customer has supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
- The customer shall send back the goods or hand them over to SCHUMSCHUM without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which the customer communicates their withdrawal from the contract to SCHUMSCHUM. The deadline is met if the customer sends back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
- The customer will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
- The customer is only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods.
11. Complaints and Returns Policy

- A detailed description of the defect.
- Photos of the defect, if possible.
- Proof of purchase.
Time Frame for Handling Complaints
- Complaints will be addressed promptly, no later than 30 days from the date of submission.
- If the complaint is complex and requires additional time, the customer will be informed of the delay.
Resolution of Complaints
- If the defect is repairable, SCHUMSCHUM will repair the product free of charge.
- If the defect cannot be repaired, the customer may choose between:
- Exchange of the product.
- Refund of the purchase price.
- A reasonable discount on the purchase price.
Right to Deny a Complaint
- SCHUMSCHUM reserves the right to deny a complaint if:
- The product was damaged due to improper use or handling.
- The defect was caused by the customer or a third party.
- The complaint is made after the warranty period has expired.
Costs Associated with Complaints
- SCHUMSCHUM will cover all costs associated with handling justified complaints, including any necessary expert assessments.
- If the complaint is unjustified, the customer may be required to cover the costs of the expert assessment.
Replacement Products During Complaint Handling
- SCHUMSCHUM does not provide replacement products while the complaint is being handled.
Legal Basis and Compliance
- These complaint conditions comply with Slovak consumer protection laws, particularly Act No. 250/2007 on Consumer Protection, and relevant EU regulations.
- For disputes that cannot be resolved amicably, customers can seek alternative dispute resolution through the Slovak Trade Inspection or the EU’s online dispute resolution platform.
